Meet
eet The BDM
Glenhawk
The Intermediary speaks with Ryan Brewer, business development
manager (BDM) at Glenhawk
How and why did you
become a BDM?
It wasn’t an entirely straightforward
journey! I originally applied for a
customer services role at a specialist
lender, and was offered the job.
Unfortunately, the timing wasn’t
ideal, as the lender then went
through some internal restructuring,
so the opportunity fell through.

and because of my experience in
sales I instead joined the business
development team. It’s a great

senior leadership team, who have
a proven track record and have set
a clear direction for the business.
That’s genuinely inspiring, and was a
big factor for me.
They have built a really strong
culture, an ambition to not only
build a great, long-lasting lender but
to support the team in developing
professionally too. It’s really exciting
to be a part of that, and to be able to
tap into their experience. I know I’m
going to learn a lot from being part
of Glenhawk.
What makes Glenhawk
stand out?
There’s a real common-sense
approach – everyone wants to find
ways to make deals work. There’s a
genuine human touch too, as we get
