What made you
What is something
become a broker?
outside of work that
I did not plan to go into broking. I
was never one of those people who
knew what they wanted to do. My
first jobs were in payroll, insolvency
administration and recruitment.
Those jobs taught me that attention
to detail matters – as does managing
expectations. I was always interested
in property and finance. Broking
brought those threads together
in a practical way. As a mortgage
and protection adviser, judgement
matters. You are directly responsible
for helping people move forward
with major financial decisions. That
combination of responsibility and
problem solving is what pulled me
into the profession.

about you?
I love being outdoors – long walks,
sport, and helping close friends look
after their farm animals. We have
recently taken on an allotment and
are attempting to grow our own fruit
and veg. Emphasis on attempting!

bridging and commercial lending.
That breadth matters because
clients don’t always fit neatly into
boxes – there are plenty of cases
that sit across multiple lending
types or require sequencing rather
than a single transaction in one
simple product category. We
