better outcomes for all
continue progressing from DIP
through to offer wherever possible.
Equally important is the
opportunity to speak with advisers
who may not have worked with
us recently, understand how their
businesses have evolved and discuss
the challenges they are seeing across
the buy-to-let market.
Those conversations oen provide
valuable insights that technology
alone could never uncover, helping us
to continue improving both products
and service.
Benefit everyone
The mortgage market has always
been built on relationships, and
I do not believe that will change
simply because technology continues
to evolve. Digital innovation should
absolutely remain a priority because it
helps create faster, simpler and more
efficient mortgage journeys.
Equally, advisers should
continue to expect lenders to invest
in knowledgeable people who
understand specialist lending,
communicate proactively and take
ownership of cases.
For advisers, that should
deliver greater confidence when
recommending a lender to clients.
For landlord borrowers, it means
clearer communication and fewer
unnecessary delays.
For lenders, it means we can create
stronger relationships built on trust
rather than transactions alone.
Technology and people
should never be viewed as
competing priorities. The most
successful lenders will be those
that combine both effectively,
using technology to improve
efficiency while ensuring
experienced people remain
available whenever advisers need
practical support.
Ultimately, that combination
creates beer outcomes for advisers,
beer experiences for clients and
a stronger market for everyone
involved. ●
