A European-built
electric SUV with
coupe proportions
approximately 28 minutes. The all-wheel
drive model increases DC capability to
185 kW, reducing 10% to 80% charging
time to around 26 minutes. Both versions
support 11 kW AC charging for home or
workplace wallbox use.
Ford’s battery pre-conditioning system
helps optimise charging speeds in colder
conditions when navigation is set to a
fast charger.
Dimensions and practicality
This is a compact to mid-size SUV in
footprint, rather than a full-size machine.
The overall length is 4,634 mm,
extending to 4,734 mm if fitted with
a towbar. Width without mirrors is
1,872 mm, or 2,063 mm including
mirrors. Height stands at 1,626 mm and
wheelbase measures 2,767 mm.
Turning circle varies between 9.7 and
11.0 metres depending on drivetrain.
The interior space is generous for
the class. First row legroom measures
1,135 mm and shoulder room 1,451 mm.
Second row legroom is 916 mm with
1,420 mm of shoulder room. Headroom
improves further if specified with the
panoramic roof. Boot capacity is one of
the highlights here. In five-seat mode,
loaded to the roof, the Capri offers 627
litres in standard trim.
With the rear seats folded, that
capacity expands to 1,510 litres. Even
measured to seat back height without
the load floor, it delivers 572 litres.
There is also a foldable boot floor and
a 17 litre MegaConsole beneath the front
armrest for additional storage, plus a
secure compartment branded My Private
Locker integrated into the centre screen
mechanism.
Towing capacity is 1,000 kg braked for
rear-wheel drive, and 1,200 kg for allwheel drive. Unbraked towing is rated
at 750 kg. Maximum roof load and nose
load are both 75 kg.
Interior and technology
Inside, the Capri blends minimalism with
practicality.
The focal point is the adjustable
14.6 inch SYNC Move centre screen,
which can slide vertically to suit
driver preference or conceal storage
space behind it. It supports wireless
Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, voice
activation and connected navigation.
A wireless charging pad is standard.
