fleets need tech that

into the future
Williams says: “It's hard to see how AI
won't be the big change that's coming
through, certainly if we move towards
agentic AI rather than informational AI.
It’s actually making decisions.
“As that comes through, it’ll allow
people to manage bigger and bigger
fleets, because the AI is doing the
heavy lifting. We’ll probably move to the
state with agentic AI where we’re just
monitoring the systems, so it’s a bit more
like pilots.
“That will allow people to manage
larger fleets, and as the knock-on
for that, you’d expect to see more
aggregation, with companies able to
acquire other businesses, or take on
more business.”
He concludes: “Everyone’s pushing for
revolution. Everyone’s pushing for that
next big step. The potential changes with
AI and with alternative fuels are likely to
be huge.”
